dude, you need to chill out. you need to watch that Opra episode where they addressed all of this. it's not a religion and Rhonda continues to explain that we are able to create and receive all things through the creative source (god). so where does she say that we are god? John 16:24 Hitherto have ye asked nothing in my name: ask, and ye shall receive, that your joy may be made full. Life is meant to be bountiful! Where in the bible does it say we should be deprived of anything that makes us truly happy? In The Secret, the movie, one of the teachers explains that money (or material things) don't bring ultimate happiness. I think you need to watch the movie again and do just a bit more research before you throw out accusations left and right. God bless you.

Wow, that was great. I think there is nothing so damaging as for a child to grow up and lose his ability play without inhibition. Imagination is, in my opinion, one of the most precious gifts God gives to mankind, and it's great to see someone holding on to it!

I have plenty of "pearls" of my own, things left over from my childhood that take me back into the world of a six year old every time I see them. Glad to hear you found yours!

Hey, thanks for the comment on my blog. It was nice to hear from somone that doesn't usually comment! I'm not serious about legos. Three sisters and no brothers? Nope, not serious. We just went into that store because it greatly piqued our interest. It was really neat. I bet you would've loved it. :)

You know I met Tiffany? Well, we talked about the magazine quite a bit. I'm so excited! I'm just telling you that because you're on the team too, so you can relate. I cannot wait for the first issue to come out!

Oh, and great post. Really, really good. I hope I can write as well as you by the time I get to college. Keep it up!

Immature? If that is immaturity, may God strike me with it, and may I never recover! What do people think imaginations are FOR, if not for adventures?

Now I see why you could talk about fairies seriously, as if you meant it. I was puzzled at the time, because as a rule people don't understand. But I misjudged; you DID understand, and I'm so glad! It is a rare quality among grown-up children.

I was just stopping by from The Rebelution and decided to read your latest entry! What a great post! It's so encouraging to see that you find joy and strength in the Lord to make it through the crazy week ahead. He never fails to help us when we ask Him! :o)

Very rarely has someone put my own mindset into the perfect words at the perfect moment, but you've done it. Instead of college, for me it's working 2 jobs and trying to reconcile home life with that. My Sundays are my sanctuary (um... pun intended?) just as they are for you. No job, no conflict, just worship and rest. You have a way of writing things to which others can relate deeply. It's great! Thanks for this; I'm sure it took a lot of effort for you to find the time to write it.

Beautiful, Peter. I'm often duped into thinking that Christianity is about Christians, and as you so clearly pointed out, it's not. It's about Christ. It convicted me as I thought about how I try to make myself a "good person", I try to follow Christ's commands, because "I have to represent Christ well." True, how we represent Christ is important, but my key motive should not be to impress or influence others with my Christ-likeness and perfection; it should be to show my gratitude and devotion to Christ, and to show it first and foremost to Christ himself. Thanks for a good reminder and for making me think.
